Creating your own website can seem like a challenging task if you don't have a technical background. But really, creating your website and getting it online can be done in just a few hours. Let us take a look at some of the simple steps that are required for creating your website quickly and easily.

Get an HTML editor

And HTML editor is used to create and edit your website. There are many free HTML editors available, and in my opinion you should not pay single penny for an HTML editor. Microsoft FrontPage, Textpad, and Coffee Cup software are just a few examples of free but quality HTML editors.

Get a website template

There are tons of free website to templates available online, and again you really should not have to pay for a website template. Now you can pay if you would like as there are some very good websites templates out there that you can buy. But simply search in Google for free website templates, and you will find plenty that you can copy and edit for your own personal website.

Find a hosting company

Once you have a website template edited to meet your needs, you need to find a hosting company to host your website online. Hosting your website is relatively inexpensive (sometimes as little as $5 a month), and there are many hosting companies that will suit your needs perfectly. A couple of examples of hosting companies are Host Gator, Just Host, and GoDaddy.

Move your website online

If that you have your website created and your hosting set up, now you just need to move your website online. There are many free FTP programs that will allow you to push your website onto your hosting server so people can get to it online. The FTP program that I like to use is free and is called FileZilla. Of course, every hosting company also has an internal method that will allow you to move your website online. However, in my opinion, most of these methods are clunky and unfriendly, and that is why I choose to use my own FTP program.
